My latest project combines material, form, and projected video to promote physical somatic awareness within a gallery setting. Central to this work are video loops of hand knit spheres and spirals, filled with yeasted dough, that grow, breathe, and decay; at once inanimate objects and animate beings. These forms and videos inhabit an uncanny space between flesh and object that inspires a physical reaction in the viewer, a sympathetic echo of sensation in the skin.
