I teach classes in yoga and dance. I work with a blend of styles. In yoga classes I traditional hatha practice with modern somatic language and physical therapy-inspired functional movement. In dance we warm up through modern techniques and then play with perception exercises, building movement vocabulary through improvisation.
I believe in accessibility. I won't ask you to fold into a pretzel, find a perfect pirouette, or buy hundred dollar pants. I use everyday vocabulary and invite students to find their own variations balancing challenge with comfort within the space.
